Brunch & Belemnites at Highway Farm with The Jurassic Team

We’ve teamed up with the The Jurassic Coast Trust and are running a BBQ and Guided Walk at Highway Farm on Saturday 28th March.

UPDATE.. Big thank you to everyone who helped. My idea of a garden BBQ went out the window with the weather but we manage to fit everyone in, kinda cosy, about 30 turned up, a nice mixture of  locals and visitors and all but 4 walked the walk to West Bay, the sun exposed itself at Thorncombe making it all worthwhile,  and they ALL arrived back on the X53……except for a hand few of friends and I had to collect them from WB!
Review..Hello Pauline, Just to say thanks for organising the walk today.  We had a super time! The brunch sustained us, the talk educated us and the walk exhausted us!!
And.. we raised £165 for The Jurassic Coast Trust and £41 for Cancer Research.   Great fun event.

Starting from 11.30am for Brunch, there will be home-cooked bacon and sausage baps with salad and tea/coffee, accompanied by a quirky take on the story of the coast from Jurassic Coast Ambassador Mike Green.

After lunch, weather permitting, we’ll be heading on a guided coastal walk in the West Bay and Eype area – exact itinerary TBC. This will be led by experienced tour leader Steve Snowball – the walking is cross- country and hilly with stunning views. Bring sensible footwear and a walking stick!

Highway Farm is perfectly situated for the X53 bus route so travel to and from the walk should be very convenient. The event will conclude back at Highway Farm about 4.30-pm.

Tickets for the day are £7.50 for adults and £4 for children, with a family rate (2 and 2) of £20. All proceeds from the day go towards the Jurassic Coast Trust’s conservation and education projects.

Numbers are limited……..book early
