Highway Farm Charity Father’s Day update and photos…

Huge thanks to everyone who helped and supported our Father’s Day Brunch. It was a great success, fun and friendly and sunny too.

We have been able to donate £1900 to Prostate Cancer UK, and with our Cook Books sales and donations another £400 to Cancer Research. Brilliant news!

John and I are delighted, another great effort to support our cancer charities.  Thank you x

The men donned their pinny’s and all in a good cause!

We raised £1900 for Prostate Cancer and had fun doing so.   WELCOME TO MAN v BBQ  We took up the Prostate Uk challenge  #MANvBBQ

The Father’s Day Big Brunch was friendly, fun, and sunny too, a perfect mix and a what lovely venue at The Symondbury Cricket Pavilion, very kindly lent to us, thank you.
We had a brilliant team of helpers who all just got on with the job. Everyone who helped at the last Brunch came again, and some new helpful faces were welcomed too. Everything was donated and lots of local businesses kindly supported with food and prizes.
Our helpers came along with their BBQ’s, home-made sauce, sauages, tongs, raffle prizes, posters, cakes, and they brought along their families and friends, and, theirs Dad’s!Charity brunch

What a wonderful crowd of brunchers, the mud munchers stopped off after a manic bike ride, they came to support and enjoy a scrummy brunch. People stayed on to enjoy the relaxed folk music from David Squirrel and friends. There was time to chat and catch up with friends, and The Jurassic Coast Trust came along to promote its work along our stunning coast and provide fossil painting for the children. Some folk enjoyed an educational walk to the top of Colmers Hill, by kind permission of the Colfox family, learning lots of Symondsbury secrets along the way from our guides Marilyn and Sue and Jane.
Special mention to David and Jane Warren for their continued support and encouragement. No other names mentioned as I really don’t want to miss anyone out!

It’s all adding up nicely now, £1500 for Prostate Cancer UK, Brilliant!
I think that cancer research is vital, and our fund raising continues. Prostate Cancer UK works tirelessly to improve treatments and continue to support men with prostate cancer.
