Hooray ..successful Eype Makers Market and the best sunset.

Hooray we’ve had another successful Makers Market with wonderful support from everyone and we’d like to say thank you.

I’d like to congratulate the makers, bakers and artists for their splendid displays of home-crafted gifts and tasty food.  This year 50% of the stallholders were new makers as we love to offer people the opportunity to showcase their designs and products and help them along the way. All made in Bridport or very nearby!

It was our 6th Xmas Makers Market, it’s a community effort and we want to keep it special.

It’s run by a very small hard working committee with little is spent on advertising instead relying on the Makers to spread the word about their Market.

We raised nearly £600 raffle money this year for Prostate Cancer and Heart Foundation, and once again were able to donate to both the Church and Wallbridge Trust and together with the charity stallholders are charity efforts topped £1500.
After outgrowing Eype Church this was the second Market to be held at Highlands Holiday Park, a fantastic spacious venue, kindly donated by the Cox family and fully supported with a great team of staff, our grateful thanks.

And finally the best of sunsets ever…….lighting the stunning views from Highlands to the simmering sea at Eype and far across to Thorncombe Beacon. Thanks to Doug Chalk for photos.
